FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Beginning Monday Feb. 6 through Friday Feb. 10 Elizabeth City State University will be the site of the annual STEM Research Week. With more than 20 events scheduled and numerous presentations ECSU research will be well represented throughout the week.
According to Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dr. Vann Newkirk STEM Research week is set aside to recognize the hard work and outstanding achievements of ECSU faculty and students engaged in STEM research and training.
“Not only are we highly encouraged in our administrative capacities but we also take great delight in each of our students who will present their undergraduate research results” said Dr. Newkirk.
Many of the presenters attending the events scheduled throughout the week are preparing to graduate in May. Their work presented during the STEM Research Week events reflects the analytical skills and knowledge required to work in STEM fields according to Dr. Newkirk.
