If you’ve wondered what’s kept students, staff and faculty in the School of Mathematics, Science and Technology so busy, their secrets will soon become public knowledge.
From January 30 to February 4, they will reveal their findings from projects covered over the last year. Topics stem from biology, chemistry, geology, physics, technology, mathematics, computer science, pharmacy and health professions. Dr. Harry Bass, dean of the School of Mathematics, Science and Technology says no other weeklong observance at ECSU will provide so much information at one time.
"This is the week when you can attend informative sessions and hear explanations of the topics that truly challenge our students.&nbsp Come and ask them about the poster presentations that will line the aisles," Bass said.
"One of our guest speakers is currently providing transportation for President Obama. We hope this young pilot will inspire our students to follow their dreams for rewarding careers that follow years of studying in college. Other motivating speakers are our faculty and staff. Listen for updates from faculty, staff and students engaged in polar science research – research topics that are related to climate change."
