SAT prep course held on April 17-18

April 07, 2006The Education Talent Search Program at Elizabeth City State University will hold a SAT retreat for high school students 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. on April 17-18 in the Information Technology Center. These free workshops will present assorted test-taking strategies to help students adequately prepare for the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). Students will also take practice exams. Many of the nation’s colleges and universities require prospective students to submit scores from the SAT and other college entrance exams as part of the application process. For an application packet, call 252-335-3667 or 335-3658. The Education Talent Search Program is an educational opportunity outreach program funded by the U.S. Department of Education. The program provides academic, career, and financial counseling to its participants and encourages them to graduate from high school and continue on to the postsecondary school of their choice. The Talent Search Program also serves high school dropouts by encouraging them to reenter the educational system and complete their education.
