Elizabeth City State University will close access to Roebuck Stadium for 60 days during the final phase of the renovation of the football field.
This temporary closing is for the safety and well-being of the local citizens who use this venue for their health and wellness routines. Citizens are welcome to use the parking lot outside the gate as an alternative location during this time.
The university looks forward to re-opening the gates to the community on July 6 once the sod has been installed and established.
As ECSU works to renovate the field, the first phase of the Reimagine Roebuck campaign is also underway, raising $250,000 toward the work through May 31. For information on the fundraising campaign go to the webpage HERE.
The Mighty Vikings first home football game will be Sept. 5, 2020 vs. the Broncos of Fayetteville State University.
