Dr. Harry Bass, dean of the ECSU School of Mathematics, Science and Technology and Dr. Eric Thomas from the ECSU Division of Academic Affairs, join over 30 students for poster displays. The displays revealed research findings in biology, chemistry, applied math, computer science, math and more during Research Week. "Enhancing Research and Education through Partnerships" was the theme. The week included panel discussions and lectures which were held in the Jenkins Science Center.
Dr. Linda Hayden, a professor in the ECSU Mathematics and Computer Science Department and director of the Center of Excellence in Remote Sensing Education and Research, was the coordinator for research week. Dr. Harry Bass, dean of the School of Mathematics, Science and Technology, said the projects were very challenging and rewarding for the participants.
"During Research Week, our goal is not only to showcase existing research and education projects, but also to provide stimulus for future collaborations, internships, curriculum enhancements, research, discovery and economic development," Bass said.&nbsp
