Preschoolers roll pennies for Tsunami victims

March 08, 2005The Laboratory School at ECSU is calling on the public to donate pennies in a fundraising effort that will benefit Tsunami victims. Contributors may drop off pennies 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at rooms #100, #114, #115 and #125 of McLendon Hall. Pre-school children will roll and donate the pennies to the American Red Cross. Their goal is $1,000 in pennies. Culligan Water Company donated large water bottles for the penny collection. The fundraiser will continue until April 29. The Laboratory School is a five-star rated program that serves pre-school children. For more information, call Sarah Harvey, 252-335-3730.
