Port Discover Launches New Programs
September 25, 2006 In October, all children visiting Port Discover can try their hand at "Monthly Make-Its." These science-themed hands-on projects will change monthly. "Pumpkin, Pumpkin" is the theme of Port Discover’s "Monthly Make-It" for October. Children visiting Port Discover during the month of October can make and take home an activity that illustrates how a pumpkin grows. The activity is free and anyone stopping in Port Discover can participate. Port Discover will launch its monthly "Toddler Time" on Thursday, October 26 at 10 a.m. The theme of the October program is "Pumpkin, Pumpkin" and children will learn how pumpkins grow. After the October program, Port Discover’s Toddler Time will continue the third Thursday of each month. Toddler Time is free, but space is limited. Reservations will begin the first day of the month for that month’s program. (October 1 for the October 26 program.) Port Discover is located at 613 E. Main Street. Port Discover’s regular hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. For more information visit www.portdiscover.org or call 252-338-6117.
