April 09, 2005Elizabeth City State University will celebrate National Library Week, April 10-16. The theme for this year’s celebration is "Something for everyone @ your library." A list of events for this year’s National Library Week at ECSU follows: April 11
Amnesty Week, pay no library fines when you return overdue books and library materials. April 12
9 a.m. – 12 noon and 1 p.m. – 5 p.m., Tour the G.R. Little Library. April 13
9 a.m. – 12 noon and 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. Library Media Exhibit Day April 14
10 a.m. and 2 p.m., Tours provided by Library Club Members 5 p.m.- 6 p.m., a book signing with guest author, Rosalind W. Johnson, the author of "Friends to Die For" 6 p.m. – 7 p.m., a reception where patrons can meet the author, Rosalind W. Johnson 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. The Know Bookstore’s display of the recent best selling books, CD’s, videos, and posters. The display includes Tyler Perry’s gospel videos of the Madea Series. The Know Bookstore is located in Durham, North Carolina 7 p.m., free entry for the movie "Ray" in the G.R. Little Theater April 15
10 a.m., Library Career Day with the G.R. Little Library Librarians "After College What? Why not choose a career in Library Science?" an informational session held in room #203, the G. R. Little Library Conference Room A fundraising drive is underway for the non-profit organization, "Friends of the Library." Donations can be made by individuals or groups.
