Grant writing workshop is April 12

March 31, 2005 The Community Development Program at Elizabeth City State University will host a free grant writing workshop 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 12, 2005 in the K. E. White Graduate Center. U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development personnel will teach participants strategies that will help them acquire federal grant funds. Workshop topics include "The 10 commandments of grant writing," "Legal dos and don’ts," "Working with local governments," "Grant proposal writing techniques" and more. This workshop is open to the public. Participants from faith-based organizations/ nonprofit, community-based organizations, local government officials, university and college officials and church officials are strongly encouraged to attend. There is no charge for the workshop. The program is sponsored by the ECSU Community Development Program, Northeastern Community Development Corporation, and River City Community Development Corporation.
