The Center provides free drug information to healthcare professionals and the general public to optimize patient care. In addition, the DIC has a strong academic component designed to enable students to gain experience in provision of drug information to enable utilization of drug information skills and resources. The Center is made possible by generous funding from the North Carolina GlaxoSmithKline Foundation. It is also sponsored by the ECSU Foundation and the UNC-Chapel Hill/ECSU Pharmacy Partnership Program.
