The annual Fall Convocation/Candlelighting Ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. on &nbspSeptember 25, in the auditorium of the Mickey L. Burnim Fine Arts Center.&nbsp
The Fall Convocation/Candlelighting Ceremony is an occasion when the university administrators, faculty, staff, and students convene at the beginning of the academic year to renew their commitment to excellence.&nbsp During this ceremony, we officially induct the freshmen and transfer students into the university.&nbsp
Elizabeth City State’s esteemed alumna, Dr. Alma Jenkins, M.D.&nbsp Her credentials include graduating Summa Cum Laude from Elizabeth State University and earning her Doctorate in Medicine from Meharry Medical College.&nbsp She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Emory University and completed a fellowship in Gastroenterology at the former Bowman Gray Medical Center, now Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.
