ECSU’s Annemarie Delgado Elected to Grant Resource Center Advisory Board
Elizabeth City State University’s director of sponsored programs, Annemarie Delgado, has been elected as an Advisory Board Member to the Grants Resource Center in Washington D.C.
The Grants Resource Center, or GRC, is a unit of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities. The role of the center is to enhance the research and sponsored programs capabilities of higher education institutions.
The GRC provides universities with access to tools, services, and expertise to improve efficiency and increase the institution’s success in securing competitive grants from federal and private sponsors.
Ms. Delgado has over 20 years of experience in research administration and research development.
Prior to her work at ECSU, she served as the director of sponsored programs at Eastern Virginia Medical School, director of sponsored programs at Wentworth Institute of Technology, and associate director of sponsored programs at Norfolk State University. She has also held positions in research administration at Old Dominion University Research Foundation.
Ms. Delgado holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Framingham State University, a master in Public Administration degree and a master in English degree, both from Old Dominion University. In addition, she is a Certified Research Administrator, Certified Pre-Award Research Administrator, and past-president of Virginia Society for Research Administrators.
Ms. Delgado serves on the MSI subcommittee for the National Organization of Research Development Professionals.
