ECSU recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new call center known as V.O.I.C.E. (Vikings Offering Information Concerning ECSU students) The V.O.I.C.E. supports ECSU’s Annual Fund by raising alumni and parent participation rates, increasing gifts, acquiring new donors, providing information and engaging alumni and parents in Elizabeth City State University. The V.O.I.C.E. helps to establish and continue positive rapport with our constituents, which may make them give more often and at higher levels. The V.O.I.C.E. helps with maintaining open lines of communication and with forging strong networks of support. The V.O.I.C.E. allows the University to maintain good public relations, raise funds, update records, educate our constituents on program needs, express appreciation for past support, upgrade donors and cultivate prospective donors. Standing left to right is Dr. Willie Gilchrist, interim chancellor of ECSU, Dr. Charles Cherry, president ECSU’s National Alumni Association and an ECSU Foundation Board member Mr. Ken Henshaw, chair of the ECSU Foundation Alicia Harrell, Interim Coordinator of Annual Giving Tyrone Eason, student supervisor.
