ECSU holds economic development summit

Gilchrist Mr. Leslie Boney, associate vice president for Economic Development, Research, Policy and Planning, UNC-General Administration Mr. Vann Rogerson, president of the Northeast Regional Economic Development Commission Mayor Fred Yates (Winfall, NC) and UNC President Erskine Bowles. The summit brought regional partners and stakeholders together to discuss economic development needs, strategies and resources. University officials identified five central professions that would generate economic development for the region: aviation, entrepreneurship, K-12 teacher education audio visual/recording, pharmacy.
