ECSU Founders Day Scholarship Gala VI held on March 9

The Elizabeth City State University Foundation will hold the Founders Day Scholarship Gala VI at 7 p.m. on March 9, 2013 at the Kermit E. White Graduate and Continuing Education Center. The event raises funds for scholarships. The recipients of the Chancellor’s Legacy Awards and the categories for which they are being recognized follow: Education/The Arts Award: Mr. Carroll Hurdle Retired Educator/Counselor Washington County Schools Business Award: Mr. Norris Earl Francis Retired National Account Executive for N. E. Francis, LLC Faith-Based Community Award: Mr. Mike Chandler CEO, Rejoice Musical Soulfood Radio Network Community Service Award: Mr. Elston Howell Philanthropist Government Award: Congressman G. K. Butterfield United States Representative 1st Congressional District of North Carolina Military Award: Commander Warren Judge United States Coast Guard Science/Medicine Award: Dr. Stephanie Dance-Barnes Assistant Professor, cell and molecular biology Winston-Salem State University Tickets for the event, $100 per person, are available in the ECSU Office of Institutional Advancement, 318 Marion D.
