ECSU Drug Information Center presents “Know Your Numbers”

February 04, 2009February is American Heart Month. During this month, Americans are encouraged to learn more about the cardiovascular diseases that can threaten their health. As a result, the ECSU Drug Information Center presents "Know Your Numbers," from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on February 17 in room 107 of the K.E. White Graduate and Continuing Education Center. The seminar presenter is Debbie Leete, Preventative Health Coordinator of Healthy Carolinians at Albemarle Hospital. Her presentation will help participants identify the numbers that indicate diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol – risk factors that affect cardiovascular disease. Participants will also learn steps that will help manage those health problems. This free seminar is open to the public but there are a limited number of seats. A free lunch is available if you register in advance by calling the 24-hour appointment line, 252-335-8745. Lunch will be served at11:30 a.m. but the presentation begins at 12 noon. The event’s co-sponsor is the ECSU Health Resource Center, funded by The North Carolina Health and Wellness Trust Fund.
