ECSU Colleges Against Cancer Chapter holds fundraiser on March 27

The ECSU Colleges Against Cancer Chapter will hold its first Relay for Life event on March 27 at Williams Hall. Opening Ceremonies will begin promptly at 6 p.m. followed by a cancer survivor lap at 6:15 p.m. and a caregiver lap at 6:20 p.m. ECSU Relay team members will start walking at 6:25 p.m. Various entertainment programs and activities will follow, leading up to an honor and Luminaria Ceremony that begins at 9 p.m. Entertainment continues from 9:45 p.m. until the closing ceremony begins at 1:30 a.m. This public event is a fundraiser designed to raise money to fight cancer. All ECSU students, administrators, faculty and staff are encouraged to participate and attend. Fundraising will continue during the evening as various teams and vendors offer goods, food and beverages for sale to attendees. All proceeds support the American Cancer Society.
