ECSU applauds 2008 Teachers of the Year

Elizabeth City State University announces the 2008 Departmental Teachers of the Tear: Dr. Jeffrey Rousch, an assistant professor in the Biology Department with five years of service to ECSU. Ms. Melody Gallop Brackett, a visiting associate professor in the Department of Social Service with six years of service to ECSU. Dr. Jharna Sengupta, a professor in the Mathematics and Computer Science Department with six years of service to ECSU. Mr. Billy Hines, an artist in residence with 33 years of service to the Department of Music. Ms. Tonya Blair, an assistant professor in the History and Political Science Department, with three years of service to ECSU. Dr. Mehran Elahi, an associate professor in the Technology Department with four years of service to ECSU. Ms. Guanna Dixon, a visiting assistant professor in the Chemistry and Physical Science Department with nine years of service to ECSU. Dr. Gayle Isaacs, a professor in the Department of Language, Literature and Communications, with five years of service to ECSU. Dr. Edmond Koker was the 2008 recipient of the UNC Board of Governors Award for Excellence in Teaching. First runner up was Professor Drusiano Scerbo, a professor in the Art Department with 17 years of experience second runner up was Dr. Suzanne MacMorris, a professor in the Social Sciences Department with 25 years of service The Teacher of the Year Committee includes Dr. Sultana Khan, chair Professor George Jackson Dr. Linda Lisowski Dr. Kulwinder Kaur-Walker Dr. John Dixon Ms. Eunice Smith.
