‘E is for Excellence’ Honors Program Event Kicks Off 2018-2019 Year

The Elizabeth City State University Honors Program’s annual “E is for Excellence” event brought together the university’s top scholars to celebrate not only the program, but also the students and their achievements.
On Tuesday, Oct. 2, Honors Program director and Dean of Liberal and Fine Arts, Dr. Kenneth E. Jones, presented 55 ECSU Honors Program students for the 2018-2019 school year.
The program included presentations from students, as well as remarks from Interim Chancellor Dr. Karrie Dixon, and Interim Vice Chancellor Dr. Farrah Ward.
Student presentations included a debate over the Federal Communication Commission’s net neutrality regulations, Honor Scholars Summer Experience, a Quiz Bowl Power Match, and more.
This year also marks the largest freshman honors class in ECSU history. Here are this year’s Honors Program Vikings:
