Don Roberts, speaks for library banquet

The G. R. Little Library Committee will welcome Don Roberts, a news anchor for WAVY-TV Channel 10 in Portsmouth, Virginia, as the keynote speaker for the Friends of the Library Banquet at 6 p.m. on November 1 at the K. E. White Graduate and Continuing Education Center. The entry fee, $25, will help cover the cost of library materials and resources at the G. R. Little Library. The G. R. Little Library is open for public use. Patrons can use computers and check out books free of charge. There are 120 research data bases available by Internet 1,300 periodicals in house 21,000 titles online by Journal Finder a consortium of university databases. Numerous books and reference materials are available to assist the public and area school youths with research projects. For more information, please contact 335-3586.
