Damika Howard receives Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Award

Damika Howard, a junior from Virginia Beach, Va., is the recipient of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Award.
Ms. Howard has been involved in the Student Government Association for three years. She served as Student Activities President and worked to organize student activities and events such as homecomings, step shows and student forums.
The award is reserved for a student who has been involved as an active participant and supporter of programs sponsored by several departments –Admissions, Campus Police, Career Services, Counseling and Testing, Financial Aid, health Services, Judicial Affairs, Residence Life and Student Life. The student possesses many of the core values of the student Affairs profession such as ethical decision making, service, integrity, diversity and excellence and may aspire to work in the field of Student Affairs. The student must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0.
Nominees included Konstance Coston, Tyeshia Deas, Jennifer Hendy, Illiana Thomas and Karen Wilkerson.
