Damika Howard and George Harris earn top awards from the Division of Student Affairs

The Division of Student Affairs proudly announces the recipients of awards distributed at the recent Leadership Awards Program. The award recognizes students for their ability to balance scholarly assignments with leadership tasks.
Damika Howard earned the Chancellor’s Student Leadership Award. The award is reserved for a junior or senior who is an active ambassador for the university, possessing leadership qualities and has exemplified a genuine love for the university. The recipient must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0.
George Harris earned the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs award. It is reserved for the student who has been involved as an active participant and supporter of programs sponsored by several departments (University Police, Career Services, Counseling and Testing, health Services, International Affairs, Judicial Affairs, Multicultural Affairs, Residence Life and Student Life) within the Division of Student Affairs. The recipient possesses many of the core values of the Student Affairs profession such as ethical decision making, service, integrity, diversity and excellence and may aspire to work in the field of Student Affairs. A minimum grade point average of 3.0 is required.
