ECSU is a member of the Albemarle-Pamlico Conservation and Communities Collaborative (AP3C) The AP3C and the Albemarle-Pamlico National Estuary Program (APNEP) are hosting a series of community forums in the region concerning rising sea-levels and population growth in North Carolina. The Albemarle and Pamlico Sounds region are among the top three areas most threatened by sea-level rise in the US. With a growing population and rising sea-level, community-based responses are needed to protect our coastal region." The community forum is intended to create awareness and to generate possible community-based responses. The August 4th forum will be held at ECSU in the K.E. White Center. For more information, contact Dr. Scott Bradshaw, director of the Center for Research and Evaluation and an associate professor in the ECSU Department of Psychology 335-3722.
