This year marks the 39th annual celebration of the passing of the Fair Housing Act. Events will be held across the country to celebrate the strides made to give citizens access to housing free from discrimination. Locally, the Community Development Office at Elizabeth City State University will hold First-Time Homebuyer Education Seminars for the public. The free seminars will be held on April 2, April 4, April 9 and April 11 in Room 107 of the Kermit E. White Graduate and Continuing Education Center. For more information, contact Linda Barrett, 335-3633. Other sponsors for the seminars include the Northeastern Community Development Corporation and the USDA-Rural Development.
