University Players present “Ain’t Misbehavin”

The University Players present the musical "Ain’t Misbehavin" at 8 p.m. on October 26-28 in the Mickey L. Burnim Fine Arts Complex. The University Players will take on the lively characters from a musical that has entertained theatre fans since it first appeared on Broadway in 1978. This production showcases the music of jazz pianist and organist Fats Waller (Thomas Wright Waller). The composer made his mark in the 20s and 30s, an era branded by its combined rhythms of ragtime, jazz and swing. Murray Horwitz and Richard Maltby, Jr. co-wrote the long-running Broadway musical that won Tony, Grammy and New York Drama Critics Circle awards. ECSU Assistant Professor Billicia Charnelle Hines, serves as director and choreographer and Mr. Maurice LeFlore, ECSU Assistant Band Director, serves as the production’s musical director.
