Two receive Chancellor’s Distinguished Emblem Award

Two students at Elizabeth City State University received the Chancellor’s Distinguished Emblem Award at the Honors Convocation on April 3. The award is reserved for graduating seniors who have maintained a 3.75 grade point average or higher for six consecutive semesters. Both students are Elizabeth City residents. Katlyn Charles majored in art and Marisol Denney majored in elementary education. The Honors Convocation is held annually to distribute the top academic awards.
