Trahan repeats as CIAA womens player of the week

December 12, 2005 For the second consecutive week Celeste Trahan, a sophomore center on the Elizabeth City State University womens basketball team, has been named CIAA Player of the Week. In the Lady Vikings first win of the season over Barton College on December 6th, Celeste scored 23 points, pulled down 17 rebounds and blocked a shot. Currently she leads the CIAA in scoring (20.8ppg) and rebounding (15.8rpg), is 9th in field goal percentage, 13th in free throw percentage and is second in blocked shots. The Lady Vikings will return to action on January 3, 2006 as they travel to Winston-Salem, NC to take on Winston-Salem State University in their CIAA opener. Game time is slated for 5:30pm.
