Seen here in this ECSU archive photo, the Rosenwald School located on the university campus is site of a future heritage center.
What was once known as a “practice school” for the Elizabeth City Colored Normal School in 1921, is also an historic Rosenwald School building. Located on the campus of Elizabeth City State University, plans are in the works to create an African-American Heritage Center.
