Stoddard presents software tips at Elucian conference
Patricia Stoddard, a business system analyst in ECSU’s Division of Business and Finance, isn’t ready to pack her bags, but she is making travel plans. She’s planning to attend a worldwide conference in April that will attract a host of university personnel who use the software package, Banner. It’s a fixture among institutions in the University of North Carolina system.
Not only is Stoddard attending the conference in Denver, Colorado, she is scheduled to make a presentation to other Banner users. Elucian is the company that owns Banner, which Stoddard describes as a category of business management software the university uses to collect, store, and manage data such as student registration information.
“This is a system that benefits all the university departments who have to manage funds. The goal of my presentation is to show others how to use Banner software to make it easy to keep track of money,” Stoddard said. “Prospective presenters are selected based on their submission of a winning proposal and proposals that are of interest to other users.”
