Silent auction raises funds for University Choir

January 27, 2005The Art Department at Elizabeth City State University will hold a silent auction February 9-25, 2005 to raise funds for the University Choir’s spring concert tour in Nigeria. Various artists will contribute paintings and sculptures for the silent auction. Bids will be taken February 9-25. The art will be displayed daily between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. in room # 133 of the Fine Arts Complex. Each year, the University Choir completes a regional concert tour as ambassadors of ECSU. This year, the choir will forgo a domestic tour to perform and conduct musical workshops in Nigeria. Up to 30 percent of the funds raised from the silent auction will support the choir’s trip to Nigeria. This auction is open to the public.
