Port Discover Looks “Inside a Fish” on April 11

April 07, 2009Look "Inside a Fish" at Port Discover’s Second Saturday Science, April 11. Leading the program will be Dr. Maurice Crawford, assistant professor of biology at Elizabeth City State University and a specialist in fish ecology. Children will follow food through the digestive system of a fish, identify the organs of fish, and more. "Inside a Fish" is offered at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Second Saturday Science is free, thanks to the program sponsor, Gateway Bank. Reservations are required. Second Saturday Science programs are geared toward elementary school aged children. Please call 252-338-6117 for registration. Port Discover is located at 613 E. Main Street, Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Port Discover’s hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. Programs can be arranged at other times for special groups.
