The G. R. Little Library announces National Library Week April 15 -19 at Elizabeth City State University. The weeklong observance begins on Monday with an Open House, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., in the lobby of the library. See a student art show, enjoy refreshments and music at the event. Door prize tickets will be distributed to visitors who attend. The drawing will be held on Friday. Other events at the library follow: Wednesday, April 17 12 p.m. Poetry by students from H.L. Trigg School. Tickets will be distributed to patrons who attend this event. Door prizes will be awarded on Friday. Thursday, April 18 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. ECSU Professor Dr. Shahid Shahidullah, chairperson of the Criminal Justice Department, will make a presentation: Islam: The Competing Nature of Theology and the Politics of Global Jihad. A question and answer session to follow and a reception by the staff of the G.R Little Library. Friday, April 19 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Enjoy various board games in the lobby of the library. Vendors will set up tables in front of the library where books, food and crafts will be sold. Door Prize winners will be announced at 3 pm.
