The Elizabeth City State University volleyball team defeated Bowie State University in three sets (25-22, 25-14, 25-21) Friday evening at the A.C Jordan Arena on the Bowie State campus. With the win ECSU sweeps the season series from the Lady Bulldogs and a have moved a step closer to securing the CIAA Eastern Division as the top seed heading into the CIAA tournament in November. The Lady Vikings have also extended their school record for consecutive matches won with 13 straight victories. Against the Lady Bulldogs Chelsea Amick and Samarri Griffin led ECSU with 5 kills apiece. The Lady Vikings (17-6, CIAA 10-0) will return to action at a tournament hosted by Shepherd University in Shepherd, WV. They will face Pitt-Johnstown on October 10th at 3 pm.
