It’s Time To Register For The Chancellor’s Color Run

It’s time to start registering for the Elizabeth City State University Third Annual Chancellor’s Color Run, a 5k/one-mile fun run, for everyone. The highly anticipated event happens Saturday, Sept. 9 at ECSU’s Roebuck Stadium.

The event is designed for all ages, and fitness levels, and those who need handicap access to enjoy and have fun. It all happens at Roebuck Stadium and will feature bounce houses and festival games for the kids, music, vendors and health and wellness activities.

The 5K and fun run features color stations. As runners pass through the stations they are showered with colored powder. By the end of the race participants have become virtual rainbow runners. And while you may want to capture the moment in a photograph, you don’t have to worry about taking all that color home. The Elizabeth City Fire Department will be on hand to hose you down.

New this year will be group discounts for teams. Register a team of at least four participants and each member will receive a $5 discount. Early-bird registration is $25 and on-site registration is $35. You can register online by going to the websitewww.runtheeast.com, and clicking on the upcoming events tab.

The fee includes a T-shirt.

The race check-in is 7 a.m. The race kicks off at 8 a.m.
