Dr. Ronald Blackmon was awarded $14,580 for the Health Careers Opportunity Program. The award was through UNC-Chapel Hill with funds from the Department of Health and Human Services. HCOP’s primary goals are to increase awareness of disadvantaged students of career opportunities in the health professions, enhance opportunities to gain access to formal training and education programs in the health professions, and increase the probability of success in completing formal training and education programs in the health professions.
