Four inducted into Alpha Phi Sigma

Four students were inducted into Chi Rho Omega Chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma, the National Criminal Justice Honor Society at Elizabeth City State University on December 3: Tiarra Moore, a senior criminal justice major from Clinton, Md. Ra-Shadra Godfrey, a junior criminal justice major from Elizabeth City, N.C. Christopher Anderson, a senior criminal justice major from Elizabeth City, N.C. Yolanda White, a senior criminal justice major from Windsor, N.C. Requirements for this honor society follow: Students must be enrolled in the university, must have declared a major, minor or equivalent in criminal justice fields, must have completed three full semesters or equivalent, must have a minimum grade point average of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale with a minimum grade point average of 3.2 in courses in criminal justice fields. The participating students are in the top 35 percent of their class. A minimum of four courses of the above coursework shall be in the criminal justice field. Since its re-establishment, the local chapter has approximately 35 members. Faculty advisors for the organization are Dr. Wayman Parson and Dr. Lynn Barnes.
