Elizabeth City Partners with Area Universities and College to Host Veterans Day Program on Nov. 10

Elizabeth City State University (ECSU), City of Elizabeth City, Elizabeth City Parks & Recreation, College of The Albemarle (COA) and Mid-Atlantic Christian University (MACU) will present a Veterans Day Commemoration on Thursday, November 10, 2022, from 12-1PM.
The event will be held at Veterans Park, 222 N. Water Street, in Elizabeth City, N.C. If there is inclement weather, the event will be held at Museum of the Albemarle, 501 S. Water Street, Elizabeth City, N.C.
The tribute will recognize veteran students and employees at the universities and college, and veterans in the Elizabeth City community for their sacrifice and service to the United States of America. The Elizabeth City community and beyond are invited to attend the free celebration as leaders from Elizabeth City and senior administrators from ECSU, COA and MACU honor veterans.
The event will include:
- Dr. Karrie G. Dixon, Chancellor, Elizabeth City State University;
- Mr. John W. Maurice, CDR, CHC, USN (Ret.), President, Mid-Atlantic Christian University;
- Dr. Jack Bagwell, President, College of The Albemarle
- The Honorable Kirk Rivers, Mayor, City of Elizabeth City;
- ECSU ROTC; and
- ECSU Brass Ensemble.
