According to McCrea, regional museums are powerful vehicles for celebrating the deep and broad history of North Carolina.
"The Museum of the Albemarle is delighted to be teaming with ECSU in developing an exhibit about the university’s 125 year history. Through community engagement, we hope to find artifacts and stories that will tell the rich history of the ECSU, its importance to the area, and its lasting legacy," McCrea said.
The committee began meeting in January and will continue until the launch of the exhibit. When the university celebrates its 125th anniversary in March of 2016, visitors will have access to a host of events on campus as well as the Museum of the Albemarle exhibit.
