Elizabeth City State University will close at the end of the business day on Friday, May 23 and re-open on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 in observance of the federal holiday, Memorial Day. ECSU joins the nation in remembering those who died while serving the nation in the military. The holiday remembers the service provided by those who died in any U.S. war or in any U.S. military action.
