ECSU Coach Player Receive Weekly Honors For the Second Time in 2005

October 05 2005ELIZABETH CITY NC- Elizabeth City State University Head Volleyball Coach Linda Bell and freshman outside hitter Tanika Hudgins have been honored by the CIAA as the Coach of the Week and Rookie of the Week. This marks the second time this season that Bell and Hudgins have received the recognitions. In last week’s action the lady Viking went 2-0 snapping a four game losing streak. ECSU toppled both division rival Virginia State (9/28/05) and Chowan College (9/30) on the road. Tanika Hudgins a 5-9 outside hitter from Rocky Mount NC had her best outing against Virginia State with 9 kills 6 service aces and 12 digs.
