ECSU Celebrates National Library Week
ECSU will observe National Library Week April 10-14 with several public events. The theme for this year’s celebration is “Libraries Transform.”
During the week the G.R. Little Library will display an art showcase by students and faculty. The showcase can be viewed throughout the entire library.
This is also the week of amnesty so patrons with overdue materials can return them and pay no penalty fees.
All of the following events are held at the G.R. Little Library.
Monday April 10 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m
Game Night: Board Games. Video Games. Card Games.
Join in as G.R. Little Library hosts a Game Night full of fun and relaxation. Many games will be provided or bring your own. Relax recharge and defeat your opponents. G. R. Little Library Room 207
Tuesday April 11 10 a.m.
Children’s Hour: Music librarian Jennifer Laski along with ECSU student Breantie Parotti will have storytime with ECSU Lab School. G. R. Little Library Room 207
National Library Workers Day: This is a day for library staff users administrators and friends groups to recognize the valuable contributions made by all library workers.
Wednesday April 12 3 p.m.
Speaker/Book Signing: The G. R. Little Library invites the public to the 2017 National Library Week Program Reception featuring guest speaker Linda Leigh Hargrove. She will discuss “How Libraries Changed my World.” G. R. Little Library Room 207
Thursday April 13 2 p.m.
Information Literacy Workshop: Information Literacy librarian Anthony Holloway will help answer questions and guide library users to helpful resources designed to make your academic work shine. G. R. Little Library Room 221
