ECSU Brings Home Top Honors in State Math and Science Competition
Students from high schools and middle schools around the Albemarle region made up the Elizabeth City State University state math and science competition team. The students brought home a number of top awards.
Elizabeth City State University led a team of area high school and middle school students to compete in last month’s 2018 North Carolina State Mathematics and Science Academic Competition. Team members from schools across the Albemarle region brought home a number of top awards.
The competition was held at Winston-Salem State University. Universities competing in the April 14 event were ECSU, NC State, and Winston-Salem State University.
Led by ECSU professor, Dr. Antonio Rook, students from ECSU’s team competed in a number of categories, bringing one first and second place honors. The following is a list of ECSU awards and the high school or middle school the students represent:
