Creator of Cultural Capital: History Making on the Main Stage
Join Elizabeth City State University (ECSU) in welcoming Psalmayene 24 (a.k.a. Gregory Morrison), to campus on Tuesday, February 22 at 7:00PM for another ECSU Community Connections event. It is free and open to the public. Registration is required to attend online or in person, so sign up today!
Psalm – as his colleagues call him – is an award-winning director, playwright and actor. He has received commissions from The Kennedy Center, African Continuum Theater Company, Mosaic Theater Company, and many others.
He is the recipient of the Imagination Award from Imagination Stage (past recipients include Christopher Reeve, Dr. Jane Goodall, and Dennis Haysbert). Psalm has appeared on HBO’s critically acclaimed series The Wire and was nominated for a Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Musical.
