Alumna NaKeisha S. Sylver speaks for ECSU Honors Convocation

April 13 2005 Elizabeth City State University will hold its annual Honors Convocation at 2 p.m. April 21 2005 in the auditorium of the Fine Arts Complex. The program is held to recognize the university’s students for superior academic accomplishments. The keynote speaker is NaKeisha S. Sylver a 1996 graduate of ECSU and a 1999 graduate from the Howard University School of Law. In 2004 NaKeisha founded The Leadership Resource and Development Center (LRDC). As LRDC’s Director Sylver partners with organizations and individuals – helping them to identify measurable goals for growth and using LRDC’s tools (e.g. counseling coaching and training) to help them achieve those goals. Sylver is currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity degree from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington D.C. and she resides in northern Virginia. She is a member of the Virginia and District of Columbia bar associations.
