ECSU Chamber of Commerce Hold Community Forum Follow-Up Meeting

Last March Elizabeth City State University and the Elizabeth City Area Chamber of Commerce hosted its first community forum to discuss ways for the university and the community to work together building a stronger community for everyone. On Tuesday June 20 at 6 p.m. inside Arts of the Albemarle a follow up meeting the Community-Campus Check-in will be held to discuss issues and look at what we’ve done since March and where we are going.

Some of the topics covered in March were ways to create more activities and interaction between ECSU and the greater community ECSU involvement in local organizations communication about university activities creating a college town environment downtown appeal and more.

Tuesday’s meeting will feature presentations by ECSU Chancellor Thomas Conway Elizabeth City Mayor Joe Peel and discussion about ECSU’s Day of Giving by Vice Chancellor for University Advancement Dr. John Lee Jr. There will also be a community feedback session giving participants an opportunity to share thoughts and ideas.

Special Assistant to the Chancellor Russ Haddad will facilitate the meeting.

All members of the ECSU and greater Elizabeth City community are invited to attend this forum. Arts of the Albemarle is located at 516 E. Main St. in downtown Elizabeth City.
