Strother receives Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Award

The ECSU Division of Student Affairs announces McKinley Strother as the recipient of Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Award. The award is reserved for a student who has been involved as an active participant and supporter of programs coordinated or sponsored by departments within the Division of Student Affairs. This student must possess many of the core values deemed important to the ECSU Division of Student Affairs such as ethical decision-making, integrity, diversity, commitment to public service, and a willingness to work in the Student Affairs office. A minimum grade point average of 3.0 is required. Strother, a senior from Hampton, Va., served as the president of ECSU’s Student Government Association (2014 – 2015) and the student body representative on the ECSU Board of Trustees. He is majoring in Communication Studies.
