Dr. Linda Hayden received an additional $80,000 for the Undergraduate Research Experience from the Office of Naval Research. The project provides enhancement and expansion of training in Ocean and Marine Science research for students being trained under the existing URE Ocean and Marine Science grant. Specific new research topics will be added to the program which will significantly expand the research areas available to the participants.
