Vikings host football clinic April 8

April 04, 2006The ECSU Football Vikings will host a clinic for football coaches at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, April 8 at Roebuck Stadium. Coaches of all levels are welcome to participate in the clinic. Topics for discussion include coaching the offensive and defensive lines coaching quarterbacks developing a winning program and weightlifting. Former Viking gridiron teammates Everett McIver and Antonio Moore will headline Saturday’s clinic. McIver, a 7-year NFL veteran was an All-CIAA defensive lineman for the Vikings from 1990-1992. Moore, the current coach at Northeastern High School, played for the Vikings from 1992-1996 and was an All-CIAA selection at the linebacker position. The coaching clinic will also feature the ECSU coaching staff–Head Coach Waverly Tillar, and Coaches Bill Holt (offensive line), Marcus White (defensive line), Willie Gillus (quarterbacks) and Alvin Parker (offensive coordinator). The cost of the clinic, $10 per coach, includes lunch. Participants in this clinic are welcome to remain for the annual Blue and White Game at 2 p.m. Saturday.
