Rich is CIAA Offensive Back Of The Week

September 25, 2006 Curtis Rich, Jr. has been named CIAA Offensive Back of the Week for the second week in a row as released from the conference office on Sunday afternoon. In the Vikings 49-33 road loss to Newberry College on September 23rd, Rich completed 15-30 passes for 203 yards and four touchdowns. Three of the touchdowns came in the second half of play in a late rally attempt by ECSU. So far this season, Rich has passed for 764 yards with 10 touchdowns versus only one interception. In the CIAA, he currently ranks third in passing average (191.0 yard per game) second in total offense (211.5 yard per game) and 5th in pass efficiency (141.7). As a team The Vikings are 1st in both scoring and total offense and 3rd in pass and rushing offense. The Vikings (3-1, CIAA 1-0) will return to action on Saturday, September 30, 2006 as they travel to Raleigh, NC to face Saint Augustine’s College.
