Lady Vikings’ Smith named CIAA player of the week

Elizabeth City State University senior forward Tiffany Smith has been named CIAA Player of the Week as announced by the CIAA office Monday morning. Smith, a native of Cheverly, MD, averaged 18.3 points and 6.3 rebounds in three games last week for the Lady Vikings. In ECSU’s game against Fayetteville State University on January 20th, she had the second best outing of her career with 37 points, 12 rebounds, 2 blocks and 2 steals. She also scored her 1,000th career point Saturday night against the Lady Broncos. Smith will be recognized for her achievement at Tuesday’s home game against Chowan University The Lady Vikings (10-5 overall) will return to action on Tuesday, January 23rd against Chowan University.
